Geek got some hard words in the state spelling contest preliminaries…

by

Geek competes in the state spelling contest each year and has gone to state twice and county four times. This year’s list at the school level was tough:

Abhor
Fuchsia
Armoire
Melancholy
Acetate
Camphor
Confetti
Critical

Fluidity
Knowledge
Peccadillo
Deficient
Irresistible
Criterion
Guinea
Haggard

Aghast
Chancery
Feudal
Baguette
Gregarious
Discourteous
Fraudulent
Foliage
Compulsory

He got all but three correct – better than dad would do!

(edit: ok, ok, he got fuchsia, irresistible and baguette wrong, but was close on all of them).
